Live cricket, right in your browser

Add Webcric to your Android home screen

Webcric runs in the browser you already have, so the easiest "install" is to pin it to your home screen. The icon opens the match list full screen, there is no file to download and nothing to allow in Settings. Half a minute, start to finish.

Want the APK file instead? That guide is here.

1Open Webcric in Chrome and tap the menu

Type webcric.is into Chrome. When the match list is showing, tap the three dots at the top right.

2Tap “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”

The menu has one of those two lines, depending on the phone. They do the same thing. Tap it.

Chrome sometimes suggests this on its own, in a strip along the bottom of the page. Tapping that strip works just as well.

3Confirm

A box shows the Webcric icon. Tap Install (or Add).

On Samsung Internet?

Tap the three lines at the bottom right, then Add page to, then Home screen, then Add.

If a small "install" icon shows in the address bar, that is a shortcut to the same thing.

✓That's it

The Webcric icon is on your home screen. It opens the match list full screen; pick a match the same way as on the website.

If it does not go to plan

The menu has no "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"

This happens when the page is open inside another app, such as the browser built into Facebook or WhatsApp. Those cannot pin pages.

Copy webcric.is, open Chrome or Samsung Internet yourself, and paste it there.

The icon opens with the browser bar still showing

Chrome made a plain shortcut instead of installing. Remove the icon, repeat the steps, and make sure you tap Install in the box rather than Create shortcut.

You would prefer a real app file

Then install the Webcric APK. It takes a couple of minutes and one extra permission.
